An expression of faith, an act of worship, spiritual discipline; a few definitions of stewardship. But what authentic stewardship truly is, is loving God with our whole being. Stewardship = faith lived out. It is not about just saying you are a part of a family of believers (a child of God); it is about actively being a member of and taking care of the rest of the family. It is a household, and with a household comes sacrifice, support, and meaning. It is a God given duty and privilege to be a part of and serve the rest of our household (the church).
Though the typical everyday interactions within the church building have temporarily changed because of Covid, the functionality of the household remains. Running a household never stops, but in different seasons of life, the way the household is taken care of changes. Let’s be in prayer; asking God where it is He wants us to serve.
Let’s be diligent in prayer.
Let’s be diligent in our financial support.
Let’s be diligent in reaching out to others, whether by phone or mail.
Above all... let’s be a diligent body of believers that love the Lord our God with all our heart and with all our soul and with all our strength and with all our mind. And, to love our neighbor as ourselves.

Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor; not lagging behind in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer, contributing to the needs of the saints, practicing hospitality. (Romans 12:9-13)
A religion that gives nothing, costs nothing, and suffers nothing, is worth nothing. ~ Martin Luther
